Ned "Bud" CROWDER, 72, of Williamsport, died at 1:13 p.m. Tuesday May 3, 1977 at Lakeview Medical Center in Danville. He had been a patient a day and ill two months. He was a retired coal miner and farmer in Parke County. Born Jan 9, 1905 in Parke County, he was the son of Andrew Jackson and Minnie Ellen Delp Crowder. In 1926 in Rockvillehe married Leona M. Glaze, who survives. He had resided most of his life in Parke County. He resided in Waynetown before moving to Williamsport in 1969 when he retired. He was a member of Knights of Pythias Lodge at Kingman and the Pentecostal Church. His hobbies were fishing and hunting. Other survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Opal) Powell and Mrs. Clarence (Betty) Messenger both of Danville; Mrs. Simon (Ruth) Coleman of Williamsport and Mrs. Joseph (Nellie May) Johnson of Seattle, Wash; 3 sons, Edward of Rockville; Bob of Veedersburg and Richard of Danville; 3 brothers, Fred of Gary and Andy and Richard both of Rockville; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Nevins of Rockville; 27 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Wolfe Creek Church near Wallace with the Rev. James Christenberry officiating. Burial in the church cemetery with Fishero Funeral Home in charge. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services.
